Norco, La. - An employee of an independent contractor maintenance company at the Norco Manufactering Complex was fatally injured during a workplace accident Wednesday.
A spokesperson with River Parish Maintenance says around 10:30am, Michael Louque and another worker were loading two large steel cylinders onto a flatbed truck. One of the cylinders rolled off the truck onto Louque.
He was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office along with Shell are conducting an investigation.
Louque was a 33 year veteran of River Parish Maintenance .
