New Orleans, La. – Investigators are searching for a man they want to question about a shooting at a Central City birthday party that killed a five-year-old girl.

New Orleans police call 22-year-old Gary Magee a "person of interest" in the case.

They believe he may have information about the shooting that took place in a several-block stretch of Simon Bolivar Avenue on May 29, 2012.

Police say 33-year old Shawanna Monique Pierce was also gunned down when three suspects opened fire at the party. Bullets struck Pierce blocks away as she drove nearby.

Officers say Magee is also wanted for failure to appear on several weapons and narcotics charges.

If you know where Magee may be or have any information that can help investigators, you're urged to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
