NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The state health department says an oyster harvesting area closed since Feb. 27 because of an oil spill is re-opening.
Saturday's re-opening of Harvest Area 11 comes after tests showing the area's waters are suitable for harvest.
An order re-opening the area was signed Friday, according to the statement from the Department of Health and Hospitals.
