New Orleans, La - New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead. The shooting happened Sunday around 10:00 p.m. in the 8100 block of Belfast St. The identity of the man will be released once family members are notified.

Police say that responding officers found the man lying in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are collecting information and evidence to find the person(s) responsible. If you have any information that could help investigators, you are asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 822-1111.
