Jefferson Parish authorities say a shooting in Harvey has left one person dead.
FOX 8 received this news release from the Sheriff's Office Monday night:
Around 8:30 Monday night JPSO Headquarters received
calls of gun shots fired in the 4100 block of Lac Couture in Harvey. Shortly
after, responding deputies found 19 year old Byron Jones of Harvey lying
unconscious in the courtyard in front of his apartment. Jones had been shot
multiple times and was dead on the scene. Nearby residents say they heard up to
ten shots fired. Right now detectives have no motive or suspects. Anyone with
information on this homicide is asked to call the JPSO Investigations Bureau at
504 364 5300 or Crimestoppers.
