Organizers say no Mandeville Seafood Festival this year

GMSA's news release

Mandeville, La. -

The group organized the Mandeville Seafood Festival in years past says it will not produce the event in 2013.

The Greater Mandeville Seafood Association says its board made the decision because of the "loss of sponsorship and revenue over the past several years due to the tough economic climate."

The festival has been "a 4th of July staple on the Northshore for 35 years," reads a brief statement from the GMSA.
