He will play a key role in shaping Acuity’s technology strategies as the company enters into its next phase of growth. He will be charged with leading the company’s development team and will assist with technical innovation and management of Acuity’s short- and long-term goals.
Burns has more than 20 years of strategic software and technology experience. Prior to joining Acuity, he served as Chief Technology Officer and HIPAA Security Officer at Capario, a provider of revenue cycle management solutions to streamline reimbursements for healthcare providers, payers and vendors.

Burns received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
