Gonzales, La.- Former LSU running back Charles Scott is found not guilty of sexual battery.

Scott was arrested in November of 2011 and accused of raping an 18 year old woman at his home in Prairieville.

District Judge Jessie LeBlanc heard the case Tuesday.

If he had been convicted, Scott could have faced ten years in prison.

Scott was a starting running back for the LSU Tigers, but his professional football career never really got off the ground.

He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010 then landed a spot with the New York Giants, who waived him. He spent time on the practice squads of the Eagles, the Giants and the Arizona Cardinals.

He is now listed as a free agent.
