Police have made an arrest in a shooting incident in New Orleans East that left a three-year-old boy wounded in a hand.
NOPD says officers learned shortly after 6:00 p.m. about the shooting in the 6000 block of Kuebel Drive.
"He is listed in good condition at the hospital," reads a brief advisory to news media by NOPD.
Friday night, NOPD sent out a second advisory, announcing an arrest in the case:
Tonight our Seventh District detectives quickly arrested 37-year-old Terrence Robinson for Accidentally shooting the 3-year-old earlier this evening in the 6000 block of Kuebel Drive. Robinson who has an extensive criminal arrest record ranging from Armed Robbery, Felon With a Firearm, Armed Robbery and Possession of Crack Cocaine. Robinson will be booked with one count of Negligent Injuring and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
