April 11th will be an exciting night of classical guitar from two breakthrough artists.
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 23, 2013
It’s with great excitement that we announce the lineup for the continuation of the D’Addario Performance Series. Lazhar Cherouana, will join the venerable Marcin Dylla on the evening of April 11th at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall.
Marcin Dylla has been called by the Washington Post, “among the most gifted guitarist on the planet,” and D’Addario agrees. It’s a pleasure to welcome him to Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. Dylla is a truly global talent, having won 19 first prizes at some of the most prestigious international music competitions.
Joining him will be the 24-year-old, Lazhar Cherouana. Having started playing guitar at the age of six, a protégé of Jesus Castra Balbi, he has already enjoyed a career of accomplishment. At Balibi National Conservatory at Lyon he won the prestigious gold medal degree award by unanimous vote. D’Addario is very proud to welcome this international performer, a truly exciting young talent.
“The D’Addario Performance Series is a wonderful opportunity to showcase young and emerging classic guitar talent for New York City audiences. In addition to their performances, this coupling is an example of talent and excitement we can use to bring inspiration to city children during school visits and educational opportunities,” says Suzanne D’Addario Brouder, director of the D’Addario Foundation.
Tickets range from $20-25 with discounts available for students and seniors. Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall is on the corner of 57th and 7th Ave in New York City.
