Gunfire in St. Rose leaves one man dead

St. Rose, La -- The St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting that left one man dead. The shooting occurred Saturday at 12:45 a.m. on Summerton Drive near East Club Rd. in St. Rose. The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Deanel Rachal of St. Rose.

Police say that responding officers found Rachal lying on the sidewalk. He had been shot and died on the scene.
