15-year-old boy shot to death in 7th Ward

FOX 8 received this news release from the New Orleans Police Dept. Monday night:

Homicide Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy. The incident happened around 6:30pm in front of an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Allen Street. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.

The victim was standing with a group of individuals in front of an apartment building when another group of teens arrived and opened fire. The victim was shot multiple times and died a short time later at the hospital.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive. 

Homicide Detective Travis Ward is in charge of the investigation.
