Man wanted for burglary, kidnapping at Chef Menteur motel

FOX 8 received this wanted poster from the New Orleans Police Dept. Tuesday afternoon:

Date/Time: March 26, 2013 @ 3:05a.m.

Location: Motel, 5000 blk Chef Menteur

Wanted Subject: Melvin L. Hendricks DOB 2/4/1970

Last known addresses: 3212 Angelique St. Violet, La & 7825 Angela St. Westwego, La

GIST: On Tuesday, March 26, 2012, an aggravated burglary occurred in a Motel room in the 5000 block of Chef Menteur Highway. Hendricks arrived at the located armed with a knife and gun when he forced his way inside of the room. The male victim and Hendricks were involved in a physical altercation. Hendricks then forced his wife into a vehicle and fled the location. The female was later located and she was not cooperative with detectives.

    The Saints Hall of Fame today announced two new member for 2017, guard Carl Nicks and linebacker Jonathan Vilma.  Both were vital pieces to the Saints 2009 Super Bowl championship. Vilma, the defensive captain, amassed 130 tackles in '09, and a career-high three interceptions. Vilma played six season in the Black and Gold. Nicks started all 19 games in the 2009 season. He made his first Pro Bowl in 2010. Both will be formally inducted the weekend of the Bears game, October 27-2...
