Ray Nagin, feds ask federal judge to delay trial

New Orleans, La. - Former New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin and prosecutors have filed a motion to have Nagin's federal corruption trial delayed until October, according to documents.

On January 18th, a grand jury returned a 21 count indictment charging Nagin with bribery, money laundering, conspiracy and tax violations.

Currently, Nagin's trail is set for April 29th, but the motion seeks to move the trial to October 7th, 2013. A judge will make the final decision.
