Suspected 'spice' seized at 2 Hancock Co. stores

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (AP) - Narcotics officers with the Hancock County Sheriff's Office say they have confiscated thousands of packets believed to be synthetic narcotics known as spice from stores in Bay St. Louis and Waveland.

Capt. Jeremy Skinner, commander of the sheriff's narcotics division said no arrests were made after the seizures on Friday. However samples of the substances were to be tested at a crime lab.

Chief Deputy Don Bass said charges will be filed if the tests show that the substances were indeed spice.
