Baton Rouge hosts geography bee


BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The state-level competition for the annual National Geographic Bee will be Friday in Baton Rouge.

The competition will involve 100 students from across Louisiana and will take place at the Bishop Robert E. Tracy Center at the Catholic Life Center in Baton Rouge.

Preliminary rounds will be at 9 a.m. and the final round is expected to begin at noon.

The winner will represent Louisiana in the national competition May 20-22 in Washington.
