City issues parking, traffic guidance ahead of NCAA Women's Final Four

FOX 8 received this news release from the Mayor's Office Monday afternoon:

Today, the City of New Orleans issued parking instructions and reminders in advance of the events scheduled for the 2013 NCAA Women's Final Four this week.

Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, Dave Dixon Drive between Magnolia Avenue and Le Rouge Street and Le Rouge Street between Dave Dixon Drive and Howard Avenue will be closed until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10 to accommodate the 2013 NCAA Women's Final Four Tourney Town event which will feature NCAA-related activities and is open to the public.

Parking enforcement personnel will be monitoring for illegal parking, including blocking hydrants, driveways and sidewalks, or parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk, intersection or stop signs. Motorists are also reminded to park in the direction of travel on one-way streets, and with the right wheel to the curb on two-way streets.
