Decision on historic restaurant future could happen this week

New Orleans, La.- The operator of an iconic French Quarter restaurant hopes a decision is made about the business' future by the end of the week.

Mark Latter, who operates Tujague's Restaurant confirms he recently met with local celebrity chef John Besh.

Besh has expressed some interest in possibly buying the building where Tujague's is housed.

Latter says the talks were very preliminary and there are other interested buyers.

A source tells fox 8 that businessman Mike Motwani is another potential buyer. He owns several businesses in the french Quarter, including a number of T-shirt shops.

Stanford Latter owns the property; Steven Latter owned the business.  Steven passed away in February. Now his son Mark Latter is operating the business and its online presence.
