NOFD battles 3-alarm fire in Central City

New Orleans, La. - New Orleans fire fighters work to put out a 3-alarm fire burning since Monday night.

The fire broke out just before 11pm in the 2400 block of Clio Street in Central City.

Fire officials say the fire started at Eagle Insulation, an old warehouse that stretches an entire block.

Assistant fire chief Tim McConnell says two out of three sections of the warehouse were fully engulfed and caused a wall to collapse into the street.

The fire department evacuated a 47-unit apartment building across the street from the warehouse as a precaution.

Fire crews are still on the scene as of Tuesday morning. ATF and NOFD investigators are also on scene.

There were no injuries reported
