Man's Facebook hookup with teen actually setup for robbery

A 41-year-old Indiana man who met with a 16-year-old girl he found on Facebook was reportedly robbed of his wallet, cell phone and credit cards — allegedly by the girl and her friends according to Fox

The unidentified Indianapolis man told police on Thursday that he picked up the girl earlier that day at an apartment complex in Noblesville before driving to downtown Indianapolis, where they were  supposed to have a party at another location, the Indianapolis Star reports.

Upon arrival at the abandoned home, the teen told the man to wait outside. Moments later, he was attacked and threatened with a gun by two males who stole his wallet, keys and cell phone, a police report indicated.

The four assailants, according to police, also stole the man's 2013 Lexus and went on a shopping spree with his credit cards. Meanwhile, three other male teenagers held the victim against his will until the others came back several hours later, the report said.

The suspects later returned the victim's car at about 9:30 p.m. and told him to leave. He then drove back to his Far-Northside residence, where he told his wife he had been robbed, according to the report.

The seven suspects, police said, are between the ages of 14 and 20. It was not immediately clear if anyone has been arrested.
