Man charged with second-degree murder in 7th Ward shooting

FOX 8 received this news release from the New Orleans Police Dept. Tuesday afternoon:

Clifford Williams, 18 was booked today with the Murder of a 15-year-old male. The NOPD VOWS and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force Unit arrested Williams and Executed a Search Warrant today inside of his home, 66xx East Hermes Street in New Orleans. The Murder took place March 25, 2013 in the 2100 block of Allen Street.

Williams fatally shot the 15-year male during an argument.

Williams cooperated with Detectives during [questioning] and confessed to the incident.

During the execution of the Search Warrant, Detectives found a gun inside of William's house and believe it was the gun used in the incident.

Clifford Williams is being booked with Second Degree Murder.

Clifford Williams was previously arrested for a Concealed Weapon, Trespassing and Resisting a Police Officer.

Homicide Detective Travis Ward is in charge of the investigation.
