City issues parking instructions for Final Four weekend


New Orleans, La.- The City of New Orleans issued parking instructions and reminders in advance of the 4Kay Run on Saturday and the 2013 NCAA Women's Final Four this weekend.

Officials say the 4Kay Run is expecting approximately 2,000 runners and walkers.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, runners will start at Dave Dixon Drive and LeRouge Lane, turn right at W. Stadium Drive, turn right onto Sugar Bowl Drive, merge on to Poydras Street, turn right onto S. Peters Street, turn right onto Girod Street/ Dave Dixon Drive, and end at LeRouge Lane.

Officials say parking enforcement personnel will be monitoring for illegal parking, including blocking hydrants, driveways and sidewalks, or parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk, intersection or stop signs.

Motorists are also reminded to park in the direction of travel on one-way streets and with the right wheel to the curb on two-way streets.

In addition, RTA services, including streetcar lines and bus service may be interrupted during these events.
