New Orleans, La.- A Tornado Watch issued by the National Weather Service for our viewing area expired as scheduled at 3:00 p.m. as a cold front moved into southeast Louisiana.

FOX 8 has received several reports of wind-related damage, particularly on the North Shore. Some homes received minor damage such as siding coming off in the Slidell area, and authorities in Pearl River sent us a photo of mobile home damage from a fallen tree in that township.

Meteorologist predicted rainfall totals would reach up to at least 2 inches of rain, which will be one of the greatest impacts with this system.

"Strong winds are also likely as the front and associated squall line first move into the area around mid-day," explained Fox 8 Meteorologist Chris Franklin earlier in the day.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the 60's and 50's later Thursday afternoon.

Stay tuned to FOX 8 News for the latest updates.
