Fayetteville, AR - After suffering their first loss in 15 games on Saturday, LSU's baseball team responded with an extra innings victory to clinch their series against Arkansas.

Freshman shortstop Alex Bregman hit a two run home run in the third inning to put the Tigers up 3-1.  The Razorbacks responded in the bottom of the inning with a home run and tied the game an inning later.

Neither team would score a run until the 10th inning when Ty Ross doubled to open the frame and New Orleanian Sean McMullen hit a sacrifice fly to score pinch runner Jared Foster.  LSU would add another run for insurance as a Raph Rhymes single brought McMullen home.

Chris Cotton allowed a runner to reach first base with one out on a squeeze bunt but retired the next two batters to seal the win.

After going 0-for-5 on Saturday, Bregman went 3-for-4, the only LSU batter with multiple hits.  Starting pitcher Cody Glenn lasted just 3.1 innings and gave up three earned runs.

LSU hosts Grambling Wednesday night before traveling to Alabama for a weekend series.
