New Orleans, La. A state audit uncovers possible misspending and fraud at Delgado Community College.
According to the audit, a Delgado employee allegedly forged signatures and altered time sheets, resulting in over $22,000 in overpayments to student workers.
The audit also shows nearly $12,000 missing from deposit sites where students load money onto identification cards.
Delgado's chancellor released a statement that says, "internal controls have been strengthened to correct the problems."
