FOX 8 Defenders: "Hounded" trial postponed to May

New Orleans, La - The trial of a Thibodaux man facing animal cruelty charges and animal noise code violations has been postponed.  Assistant District Attorney Ben Caillouet and Chris Michot's defense attorney, David Ardoin, tell FOX 8 that the court has postponed Michot's trial to Tuesday, May 14.

The trial started last month in Judge Hugh LaRose's courtroom, but was delayed to allow for more time on the docket.  Michot's neighbors, a representative for the Humane Society, several Lafourche Parish Sheriff's deputies and Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre are among the more than a dozen witnesses expected to testify in this case.
