Hornets end season with loss at Dallas; officially become Pelicans

Dallas, Tx. - The Hornets' season and era under that name ended Wednesday night with a loss to the Mavericks.  The team is now known as the Pelicans.

All five starters were in double digits for the Hornets but the bench only produced 15 points.  The injury-riddled team shot just 36.9% but that was partially offset by Al-Farouq Aminu's 20 rebounds, a season high for anyone on the team.

New Orleans finishes the year 27-55 which ranks them as the fifth worst team in the league.  That standing gives them an 8.8% chance at the first overall draft pick in the NBA draft and a 29.1% chance at a top three pick.
