Couple steals $7,000 of electronic equipment from Marrero business

Marrero, La. - The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for a man and woman they say stole approximately $7,000.00 worth of electronic equipment from a business in the 4800 block of Lapalco Blvd.

The incident happened April 9th around 10pm. Video surveillance from the store shows a black male and a black female walking out of the garden center with shopping carts transporting the stolen items.

It is believed the stolen items may have been placed into what appears to be a light colored Chevrolet Suburban.

The female seen in the surveillance photographs has a large tattoo on her left wrist.  The tattoo appears to be the design of a sun in the style of a circle with points extending from the edge of the circle.  The male is wearing a black T-shirt with what appears to be a sombrero and a flag on the front.

Anyone with information in this matter or who may know the identity of the suspects, is asked to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
