New Orleans, La.- Three years after the disastrous spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Deepwater Horizon Claims Administrator Patrick Juneau reminds residents they have one year remaining to submit a claim for economic or property damage.

In a news release, Juneau says individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations have until April 22, 2014 to file claims.

Juneau says claimants have filed 156,978 claims as of April 23, and the Claims Center has issued eligibility notices totaling more than $2.8 billion.

To file a claim, you can visit one of the 18 Claimant Assistance Centers along the Gulf Coast, or file a claim online at www.deepwaterhorizoneconomicsettlement.com.

There is also a toll-free number for more information, 1-866-992-6174.
