Bob Breck, FOX 8 celebrate his 35 years of service in N.O.

He's been through it all: hurricanes, flooding, and a lot of newscasts.

FOX 8 Chief Meteorologist Bob Breck celebrated 35 years of working at WVUE-TV Wednesday evening, along with a large turnout of fans, friends and colleagues at the Board of Trade in the CBD.

FOX 8 owner Tom Benson and his wife Gayle were on hand to award Bob his own Saints jersey. The station also presented Bob with a special token to commemorate his decades' worth of service to the station and the New Orleans metro area.

Bob's dedication over the years also created a special moment earlier Wednesday at the State Capitol.

"Therefore, be it resolved by the House of Representatives we hereby commend Bob Breck for his remarkable career as chief meteorologist for WVUE in New Orleans," reads House Resolution 43, authored by Rep. Helena Moreno (D-Orleans) and read aloud after its enrollment and signature by the House Speaker.

Thursday night at 10, Nancy Parker looks back at Bob's decades of work through hurricanes and droughts, thunderstorms and heat waves as FOX 8 salutes Bob Breck.
