Zephyrs open 8-game homestand

METAIRIE, La. (AP) - The New Orleans Zephyrs open an eight-game homestand with a four-game series against the Salt Lake Bees, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels.

First pitch is at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Z's will then welcome the Seattle Mariners' top affiliate, the Tacoma Rainiers, who own the Pacific Coast League's best record at 20-11, for the four-game series beginning Saturday.

Zephyrs pitchers have dominated opponents through the first 11 games at Zephyr Field this season, posting a 2.09 ERA, and Zephyrs closer Chris Hatcher leads the league with 10 saves.

For more information or for tickets, call the Zephyrs box office at (504) 734-5155.
