FOX 8 received this news release from the Thibodaux Police Dept. Monday afternoon:

Thibodaux Chief of Police Scott Silverii announced the arrest of Niki Hebert (W/F, 23) for Simple Criminal Damage to Property and Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling.

Tuesday night, May 7th, just before 9:00 p.m. the victim reported returning to his home in the 100 Block of Alice Drive to find a large cement block had been thrown through the back glass door. No items were reported missing by the victim. Officers knew that Niki Hebert had left several items at the home from an earlier complaint, and the items were no longer there.

Hebert, who at first lied to the Police, eventually admitted that she had thrown the cement block through the glass door. Niki Hebert, who did not live at the victim's address, was arrested and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center for booking.
