Family of Terrilynn Monette returns to N.O.

Updated:
New Orleans, La. -

The family of missing teacher Terrilynn Monette is back in New Orleans, calling for an expanded search effort.

26-year-old Monette disappeared from Lakeview on March 2, but her mother, Toni Enclade, says she knows Monette is still alive.

Enclade stood Friday outside Parlay's Bar, where her daughter was last seen, and issued an emotional plea for a nationwide search. Enclade says she believes Monette may have been taken across state lines.

Surrounded by members of the New Orleans Police Department and her older daughter Kandice, Enclade vowed to never stop searching.

Monette's family will begin canvassing her neighborhood handing out flyers at 9:00 a.m. Saturday. At 6:00 p.m., they'll hold a vigil at Marconi and Harrison.

Sunday, the family will attend church services in Lakeview as a show of solidarity before returning to California.
