Body of missing Raceland man found

Wayne Folse, 53 (LPSO) Wayne Folse, 53 (LPSO)

Raceland, La.- The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office located the body of 53-year-old Wayne Folse late Friday afternoon.

Folse went missing Thursday morning and was last seen around 10:30 a.m. when he reportedly left his place of business.

According to family members, Folse left Raceland Paint and Body Shop, located on LA Highway 1, to go to a hardware store and a bank both located on LA 1 south of his business place.

Investigators say Folse never made it to either destination, and family members and deputies have been unable to reach him since that time. It is also believed he could have headed to the Bayou Blue area too.

Authorities began their search Thursday afternoon when Folse's family initially reported him missing and the search continued overnight into Friday morning.

No details were available on the discovery of the body, but authorities do not suspect foul play in Folse's death.

Folse's body has been turned over to the coroner's office to determine an exact cause of death.
