Debris program ending in Plaquemines

BELLE CHASSE, La. (AP) - Residents and companies in Plaquemines Parish are being asked to place all remaining debris from Hurricane Isaac on the roadside by Monday.

Parish officials say a federally funded program to remove the storm debris ends after that day.

After Monday, parish crews will pick up only debris placed on rights-of-way by residents.

Construction companies and others will be responsible for removing their own debris.
