Slidell, La. - Slidell police say a weekend of partying ended with a 26-year-old Carriere, Miss., woman being arrested twice, in less than 24 hours, for driving while intoxicated. The first arrest happened Saturday around 2:30 a.m.
Police say Marjorie Portier, who just left a party at a bar, exhibited signs of being intoxicated and was placed under arrest.
Police say Portier submitted to the breath alcohol test and had a blood alcohol content over twice the legal limit of .08. Portier was booked with first offense DWI and improper lane Usage.
Less than 24 hours later, a different Slidell officer stopped Portier Sunday around 1:50 a.m. She was booked with second offense DWI, speeding and two other traffic charges. It was unclear whether Portier has an attorney.
