Woman robbed, beaten while walking her dog


New Orleans, La. - The NOPD is searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint as she walked her dog last Thursday.

Police say on June 6th around 2am, the victim was walking her dog near the intersection of N. Gayoso and Toulouse.

While doing so, the victim noticed a vehicle pass her and then come to a stop. 

A black male got out and began walking towards the victim carrying a gun. 

The suspect demanded the woman give up her money and bag. The victim was struck several times with the weapon before she fell to the ground. The victim was also kicked multiple times.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-24 years of age, 6 ft 2 inches tall, around 200 pounds, medium complexion with two inch twists. The subject was wearing a black tank top, dark pants and had a gap in his teeth.
