Police say stolen car was used in ATM theft at Hammond OMV

Hammond, La. - Hammond Police say burglars used a stolen car to steal an ATM from the Hammond Office of Motor Vehicles.

Hammond police are looking for a white Nissan Altima with the license plate WHE 946.

They say the car was stolen from a residence in Albany.

Investigators say the car backed into the front glass wall of the office early Tuesday morning.

They say the Altima was then used to break the ATM from its floor mounting.

Police believe the back of the car has moderate damage.
