Plaquemines Parish police arrest two 'most wanted' burglary suspects

Plaquemines Parish, La.- Police arrested David Kellum, Jr. and Thomas Parks who were wanted for the Belle Chasse Metropolitan Developmental Center burglary on June 5.

Police say Kellum surrendered to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office on June 7 at 9:37 a.m. He was arrested and charged with simple burglary.

Kellum posted a $50,500 property bond and was released from police custody on June 11.

Since the burglary, investigators have been working with the US Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force to locate the other suspect, Thomas Parks.

Investigators obtained information that Parks was at a residence in the 100 block of 12th Street in Bridge City, where he was taken into custody.

Parks in currently being held in the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center as a fugitive for the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office and will be transferred to Plaquemines Parish where he will be charged with simple burglary.
