Film production will involve simulated gunfire in Bywater

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The city is alerting Bywater residents and those who will be in the neighborhood that a film production will involve simulated gunfire Monday, according to a new release from the Mayor's Office of Cultural Economy.

A production company will be filming scenes on Congress Street. Filming will involve intermittent simulated gunfire from approximately 9 a.m. to 3p.m.

Uniformed officers will be on location to monitor safety and facilitate the production crew's work.

Current films in production in the city include Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Hot Tub Time Machine 2. The release did not specify which production would be in the Bywater.
