Suspects sought for attempted robbery in the French Quarter

New Orleans, La. -The NOPD is searching for two robbery suspects who tried to steal a woman's purse as she walked in the French Quarter.

Police say it happened around 4am in the 900 block of Conti Street June 12th.

The victim told police she noticed a man and a woman following her. When she attempted to enter the Three Legged Dog bar at Conti and Burgundy, the man attempted to grab her purse. The victim said one of the suspects hit her in the face with something when she didn't let the purse go.

Police say both of her attackers ran away empty handed toward Bourbon Street.

One suspect is described as a black male, approximately 17-20 years of age, 5'06"- 5'08" tall with a thin build, short hair wearing all dark clothing armed with a silver handgun.

The others suspect is described as a black female, light complexion, short dread lock hairstyle, 5'06"-5'08" tall, thin build wearing a black red and white hat, black shirt and black shorts.
