Shooting victim drives car into mobile home


Houma, La. - Houma Police stumbled upon a shooting victim as they were investigating a car crash Thursday night. It happened around 9:30 PM in the 9100 block of Main Street.

Officers were investigating a white Chevrolet that had struck a utility pole, then crashed into  mobile home. Inside the car, they found a 27-year old-man, suffering with two gunshot wounds to his back.

The unidentified victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and his condition is unknown.

Houma police detectives say the investigation is in the very early stages and they are continuing to look into the case. So far, there have been no arrests in the case.
