New Orleans, La. - Four suspects were arrested early Saturday morning in connection with four overnight armed robberies.

Police arrested Anthony McClendon, 17, John Jerome, 18, and two 15-year-olds after the group allegedly committed two armed robberies in the Bywater, one in the Marigny and one in the lower French Quarter.

Just before 4 a.m., 8th District detectives Willie Jenkins and Steve Nolan were called to meet with victims of an armed robbery that occurred in the 1500 block of Pauger Street. The victims gave detailed descriptions of the robbers and their getaway vehicle, which was a black Toyota Tacoma. The descriptions of the robbers and the vehicle matched those in three earlier armed robberies in the 700 block of Marigny, the 3000 block of Chartres Street, and on Dauphine Street near Clouet.

Detectives learned that after the Chartres Street robbery, the suspects went to a convenience store on Chef Menteur Highway and sold one victim's iPhone to a store employee. Officers went to the shop and recovered the phone.

A short time later, the suspects were arrested near the store. The getaway car was found on Chef, and a run of the license plate showed it was stolen from the 5th District. Inside detectives found a loaded .40 Caliber gun, a gun magazine with eight additional bullets one victim's iPhone and cash, police said.

The teens are currently booked in the Pauger Street armed robbery with more charges pending.
