The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces a lane shift, along with lane and ramp closures on I-10 westbound this week in Metairie.
Tuesday, June 25 Construction crews will begin implementing an I-10 westbound lane shift Tuesday evening, June 25 at 7:30 p.m. The westbound travel lanes will be shifted slightly to the left to allow work to continue on the new outside travel lane. The lane shift will be operational by Wednesday morning, June 26 at 6:30 a.m.
To put the lane shift in place the center and right lanes of I-10 westbound will be closed from Clearview Parkway to Veterans Memorial Boulevard. Drivers should anticipate travel delays.
Wednesday, June 26 The left lane of I-10 westbound, between Clearview Parkway and Veterans Memorial Boulevard, will be closed Wednesday, June 26 from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The closure will allow crews to remove temporary concrete barriers. Two lanes of traffic will remain open during this closure.
The Clearview Boulevard on-ramps to I-10 westbound will be closed during both the Tuesday and Wednesday evening closures. Drivers may use the I-10 westbound on-ramp from Veterans Memorial Boulevard. In addition, the I-10 westbound off-ramp to Veterans Memorial Boulevard (Exit 225) will be closed during both of these closures. Drivers may use the Clearview Parkway (Exit 226) or Power Boulevard (Exit 224) off-ramps as alternate routes.
