Amite, La. - The teenager accused of killing a Ponchatoula mother pleaded not guilty to a second degree murder charge this morning in Tangipahoa Parish Court.

Ryan Pourciau, 18, was arrested two months ago for the murder of April Vanderlinden, 39. Authorities say Pourciau believed he was the boyfriend of Vanderlinden's daughter. Pourciau had been issued a restraining order that prohibited him from going near the victim's home.

Tangipahoa Parish sheriff's deputies captured Pourciau two days after Vanderlinden's death, hiding in the same house where he allegedly committed the crime.
