New Orleans, La. - The Philadelphia 76ers have selected Baylor guard Pierre Jackson with the 42nd overall pick in the NBA draft and he will soon be a New Orleans Pelican.

Jackson will be part of the trade that sends sixth-overall pick Nerlens Noel to the Sixers.  FOX 8 Sports has confirmed that the Pelicans acquired All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday in Thursday's trade with the Sixers.

New Orleans also sent the 76ers a protected 2014 first-round pick and received the Sixers' second-round selection - 42nd overall - in this year's draft.  New Orleans would retain its 2014 first-round selection only if it falls in the top five.

The best to ever don the Black and Gold, signed a two-year contract this offseason with the club. Extending his career just a couple of more seasons. 2018 could be historic year for Brees. He sits just 1,495 yards away from passing Peyton Manning on the NFL all-time leading passer list. The team he leads, is also a...more>>
