Gunfire in Algiers leaves 1 dead, 1 injured


FOX 8 received the following news release Sunday morning from the New Orleans Police Department:

An unidentified man was shot multiple times to the body and a 20-year-old man was shot in the abdomen Saturday. The unidentified man died on the scene and the 20-year-old man is listed in critical condition at the hospital. The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family members. The incident occurred inside an abandon apartment at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of Garden Oaks Drive.

The lead Homicide Detective in this case is Timothy Bender.
