Meraux resident wins St. Jude Dream Home

New Orleans, La. - The St. Jude Dream Home was won by a Meraux resident in a drawing during the telethon Sunday. Margaret Sago now owns the home on Bancroft Drive.

The money raised from the ticket sales helps St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in its fight to cure pediatric cancer. Researchers there are also tackling sickle cell disease, pediatric aids and genetic immune defects.    

St. Jude in Memphis has grown to become one of the most respected pediatric hospitals in the world. Children from all 50 states and more than 70 countries have been treated at the facility.
