FOX 8 received this news release from the Thibodaux Police Dept. Monday afternoon:

Thibodaux Chief of Police Scott Silverii announced the arrest of Brian Stickel (W/M, 49, [Homeless]) for 2-Counts of Aggravated Rape after Police were called to the 200 Block of Alice Drive after the pre-teen victim told their parents that Brian, a friend of the family who lives in the woods near-by, had sexual contact with [the victim] on two separate occasions.

Friday afternoon, June 28th, around 7:00 p.m. Brian took the victim in the woods near the victim's home promising to shoot a bow and arrow. While in the woods, Brian had sexual contact with the victim. Brian, who had given the victim money, also had sexual contact with the victim several weeks earlier in the victim's home.

Brian Stickel, who was sitting in front of an apartment across the street, was taken into custody by Police after they secured a warrant for his arrest. Brian Stickel was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of bonds totaling $300,000. The investigation is ongoing, and the victim's information is being withheld due to their age.
