Two shootings in Marrero leave one dead, two wounded

New Orleans, La. -

Jefferson Parish authorities are investigating two shootings, one of them fatal.

The Sheriff's Office alerted FOX 8 to the first shooting shortly before 10:30 Monday night.  It happened in the 1500 block of Ames Boulevard.  A male victim there, age and identity unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second shooting was reported around 10:45 p.m. and occurred in the 1900 block of Charleston Drive.  Two male victims were wounded, though deputies say their wounds are not life-threatening.
